About the Role: As a Senior Retail Buyer, you will lead the sourcing, purchasing, and planning efforts for materials and finished goods, strategically managing our retail assortment to align with customer needs and market trends. Your analytical skills and market knowledge will drive sales and ensure an optimal product mix while fostering strong vendor partnerships and negotiating favorable terms. What You’ll Do:
- Drive strategic direction for assigned categories, ensuring competitive pricing and compelling promotions.
- Analyze market trends to inform brand and item selection.
- Oversee product assortment and master product selection.
- Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams for optimization.
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and negotiate vendor partnerships.
- Lead and mentor team members to foster their professional development.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years in buying or merchandising, with experience in category management and strategic pricing.
- Familiarity with the food or beverage industry, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or cannabis is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in MS Excel and Tableau preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
Illinois Hiring Range
$85,000 - $105,000 USD
